About this Artwork
Jiaozhou Yangge world intangible cultural heritage is a traditional dance in Qingdao, a folk song and dance based on the sea culture, and represents the local culture of Qingdao. The favorite annual fish of Shandong coastal residents. The annual catfish harvest season is the happiest moment for people along the coast. The work combines Jiaozhou language and catfish in a sculptural form, and the abstract, linear singing and dancing girls are as beautiful as the waves, creating a strong festive atmosphere.
Based on the background information, the Chinese sculptor designed this bronze statue. Cast by high-quality bronze with a green patina in Sino's Beijing foundry. The fish group was cast in bronze with an original color finish. This statue was selected by Qingdao World Expo 2014.
