Large Bronze Casting Guanyin Buddha Statue

 

Guanyin is a wonderful statue of compassionate eyes looking at all sentient beings. Her wonderful statue is solemn, her eyes are benevolent, her left hand holds the wheel of Dharma, and her right hand applies the seal of fearlessness. In Buddhism, the Wheel of Dharma is the wheel of the chariot of the ancient Indian holy kings, and now it is a metaphor for Buddhism, which means that Buddhism can destroy all troubles, just like the king of the Wheel of Fortune turning the wheel and breaking the rocks of mountains. The right hand reaching up is called the Seal of Fearlessness, indicating the ability to relieve the suffering of all sentient beings.

 

The Buddha is made of sub-golden bronze, weighing 70 tons in total, and consists of 96 pieces of bronze walls, each weighing about one ton and 1 cm behind the walls. 96 pieces of sub-golden bronze walls are assembled to form a Buddha, and the welding seams are polished to perfection. The head of the Buddha is 2.65 meters high, 2.4 meters wide, weighing 1.25 meters, using a total of 6.5 kilograms of pure gold. These gold golds are earrings, rings, and necklaces donated by the incense-bearers. Her body is leaning forward 15 degrees and seems to be approaching the devotees.

 

The bronze statue of Guanyin was opened on the 29th day of the 9th month of the lunar calendar in 1997. At 8:00 a.m., when Abbot Miao-shan announced the opening of the statue, the dark clouds over the Lotus Ocean to the south of the Buddha suddenly dispersed and a white light shone from the middle of the clouds directly on the statue, which shone with golden light and shone with Buddha's light as if the holy image of Guanyin in white appeared in the sky. This miraculous phenomenon continued until the end of the puja at 9:00 am.
