About This Project

This cloud sculpture is called Cloud Nine, which was installed in Singapore city. It is a stainless steel public sculpture made by the Sino Sculpture Group in 2015, 

This cloud sculpture was designed by a Singapore client. We have taken part in its optimization, clay model, and 3D scanning for enlargement.

For material selection, we have helped to put forward many kinds of options, such as stainless steel mesh, stainless steel wires, as well as the stainless steel perforated sheet for test and confirmation by the client,
After all, the stainless steel perforated sheet was chosen as the material for the cloud sculpture in the end. Using this kind of material,  can show the light of the sculpture, and give the visitors the feeling of the cloud, soft and tender.

During the fabricating stage, the hand-forging method is beneficial to achieve the shape of the cloud sculpture. Considering the installation site - a bay, the inside structure material has to be high anti-corrasion. We suggest using stainless steel as the material of the main steel structure.

Thanks to all of our efforts, the cloud sculpture has been well-installed in Singapore. This is the 2nd project we have done for a Singapore client. 


The perforated sheet stainless steel sculptures are common for us as we have done a lot of similar sculptures in China before. It experienced us again for the cloud sculpture.
