As an intellectual of his time, Pei Bo had to go through ups and downs in pursuit of his ideals and took a long detour, but his deep self-cultivation and love for art gave Pei Bo a pure temperament of being intoxicated with art, seeking the laws of art and the ultimate beauty of form. In 1978, Pei Bo was admitted to the former Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, where he became a student of Mr. Zheng Ke, a famous sculptor and the father of Chinese industrial design. In 1982, Prof. Pei Bo graduated from the university and stayed on as a teacher, heading the Department of Arts and Crafts and the Department of Sculpture.
